David grew up in Hallsville, Texas, and is a graduate of both Kilgore College and UT Tyler. He is currently a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Texas and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
His experience as an auditor includes a diverse range of technical and advisory services that include internal and external auditing as well as forensic and fraud review.
David is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the East Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Local Government Auditors and, the Institute of Internal Auditors.
David enjoys sharing his expertise and promoting the local community, he is a past Finance Committee Chair and past Board member for the North Tyler Developmental Academy and also currently serving on the Board of Directors and is a past President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Ark-La-Tex Chapter.
Among having daily inspiration from his family, David enjoys spending his free time traveling, watching movies, mountain biking, and exploring the many nature trails in the East Texas area.
